👋 Heat Wave
We made it past the first heat wave of 2022! We have been fortunate this year as we prepared with fans and purifiers for when the fires come, but also because our place is really shaded and has A/C which we had to use mostly in the afternoon and at night. We also lived in Arizona for many years and are totally used to heat in general, it is just the humidity that is a pain to deal with. We took early morning walk and late-night walks with the pup. We felt bad having to keep her in most of the day, but we didn’t want to worry about her paws getting burned or a heat stroke. I am glad the heat is behind us for now, but I am ever concerned about the fires as there have already been a few smokey days here.
📰 Windows 11 is Here
I talked about it last week, but it is finally here, and I got Windows 11 setup on two of my machines so far and I am really enjoying it. The team really delivered a fresh experience with some nice customization features that makes the operating system feel alive. At the same time, they cut down on clutter and streamlined the entire look and feel. Look no further than the file explorer, which was completely redesigned and feel right. Want to see more? I got a breakdown video of my favorite features and settings up Visual Studio 2022.

I won’t talk too much about Windows 11 here, but I am really excited to see how the operating system progresses through the previews and what my Android apps look like once those get up and running.
Did you get Windows 11 running? What do you think?
